SUMMER = sunscreensunblock lesson

It's almost hereee ! hahaha, I'm happy.
It seems like the only weather existent now is really cold or really hot.
but two more months, and it's summmerrrr.
which means it's like, theoretically okay to be hot :D
YOU KNOW WHAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT SUMMER?
TANNING.

okay, so i know so many people who are like
"oh yay, summer, i cant wait to go tanning at the beeeeach ! "

NUH UHHH, NOT FOR ME, THANKYOUVERYMUCH.
i've been researching sunblock and sunscreen
(yes, nerd that i am. very sensitive about dark skin here ! )

so. sunblock and sunscreen are two different things.
sunscreen contains chemicals that absorb UVA and UVB rays to protect the skin.
Which means, if you use sunscreen, you can get tan and not get burnt.
*as soon as i saw that, i ran to my Neutrogene Fresh Cooling Body Mist SUNBLOCK to make sure it wasn't sunSCREEN. cause that shit was like 8 bucks.

Sunblock, on the other hand, physically BLOCKS out all sun. It reflects the sun, basically. Most people don't like sunblock cause sunblock used to be the white greasy yucky stuff that you would rub and rub on your skin and it WOULD NOT GO AWAY. and then it just got annoying, and people who wanted to wear makeup wouldnt wear it, and on and on. but now , there's newer sunblocks that are much better, so (:
**the basic thing: SUNBLOCK DOES NOT LET YOU TAN OR GET BURNT.
that's all you need to know.
*i really recommend Neutrogene Fresh Cooling Body Mist Sunblock though. for those of you who don't want to tan, which are few, i know . But it's cooling, it smells really good (it just smells like summer and the beach :D) and best of all, its a mist so it absorbs into the skin really really quickly. which moves me on to:

Neutrogene Fresh Cooling Body mist Sunblock:
Third time mentioning it , i know. but i just gottta, it's wonderful (:
Scientifically:
Its with helioplex, which means it fully protects you from UVA and UVB rays with the sunray absorbers, Avobenzone and Oxybenzone. Therefore, it's a sunblock with the power of the sunscreens too ! AMAAAZING , i know. but you don't care.
But it's really non-greasy, you can put it on your face, it's REALLY COOLING, it won't clog your pores, and its waterproof/sweatproof. I love it , it's gonna be my best friend this summer, i'll probably go through like 3 bottles.

So let's talk about SPF:
I know we always see it on the bottles, and I'm always like
"Wait i learned this. Shit i forgot. what the hell is it again?"
SPF: sun protection factor:
It's a number that lets you know how long you can stay out without burning.
Which means:
If the SPF says 15 on the bottle, and normally WITHOUT sunblock/sunscreen, you would burn in 10 minutes, than you would NOT BURN 15 times MORE than what you usually do.
so 10 times 15 : 150. You can stay out for 150 minutes without burning.
That's what it means.

But they say to reapply every two hours. Recommended is at least 15 SPF, and if you spend longer time in the sun, get SPF 30 or higher. I use 45 , haha.

So use sunscreen/sunblock people.
If you wanna tan, use sunscreen. You know why?
Cause you don't want premature wrinkles, now do you ? :O

And make sure you let the sunscreen/sunblock absorb into the skin for 5-10 minutes before you go outside. Don't forget to cover the whole body :O

okay my lesson is over. goodnight (:
